Liza Minnelli — Checks into Malibu Rehab Facility

Legendary actress and singer Liza Minnelli (otherwise known as Lucille 2 to Arrested Development fans) celebrated an important milestone by visiting Lisa Vanderpump's L.A. hotspot, Pump, over the weekend.

For those of you not familiar with Liza’s family history, she’s the daughter of film director Vincente Minnelli and actress Judy Garland. We hope she rebounds from this and returns to dazzle United States all.

How one famed entertainer’s struggle with substance abuse and addiction has led to reaching out... Her most recent visit was in 2004, but lately, it’s stopped affecting her career since she’s more or less stopped working on a regular basis.

Liza Minnelli is reported to be making "excellent progress" after checking herself into rehab to be treated for substance abuse.

The rep said no dramatic incident triggered the rehab stay, only to say that Minnelli knew she needed to seek help.

Minnelli did not waste any time hitting the town fresh out of rehab, according to Garland died of an accidental barbiturate overdose in June 1969, at the age of 47.

She famously spoke of the "disease" of addiction during a televised interview in 2006. I inherited it, and it's been horrendous, but I have always asked for help, " Minnelli told the publication.

Minnelli is a member of the EGOT club, thanks to her Oscar for Cabaret, four Tonys, an Emmy and an honorary Grammy award.
