PlayStation fans are in for another treat tomorrow as Sony releases its new PS4 3.00 update to consoles across the globe.
We've made a dedicated section for PlayStation Plus, which you can access from your PS4's home screen. From there, PS Plus member can manage your membership, see the monthly free games to download, deals for PS Plus members, and all of the games they've redeemed through the service on PS4.
The key changes are the bump in cloud storage from 1GB to 10, and the new option to stream via YouTube in addition to Twitch, but there are plenty of additional changes as well. The Broadcast Gameplay Screen will also give you access to YouTube Live so that you can livestream content easily.
The PS4 Update 3.0 release date is tomorrow, September 30th. Now, if you want to produce higher-quality screenshots, you can save them in PNG format instead of JPG. PS4 owners will also gain the ability to create communities around certain interests like game genres. Communities include a message board with general discussion, screenshots shared by players, and the ability to join parties/games. In 3.00 system software, you'll see that we added a handy usage meter to monitor your available storage capacity, and a new Auto-Upload menu has been added to Application Saved Data Management.
"This update is focused on creating new ways to connect with friends and players around the world, expanding the social capabilities of the system even further". The first of the screenshots shows off the Twitter video sharing feature. You'll find the YouTube option on your Broadcast Gameplay Screen after you hit the Share button on your DualShock. Don't forget - you can double tap the Share button to start recording a video, and press it again to stop.
The 3.0 firmware for the PlayStation 4 introduces stickers to messages, presently based around Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Knack, LittleBigPlanet 3, Resogun, and more. With this update, you'll be able to send stickers to friends through the messages.
