If Cutler can't go, expect Jimmy Clausen to receive the 2nd start of his Chicago career. On separate occasions, he beat tackle Earl Watford and tight end Darren Fells to make tackles for no gain. However, the early reports ESPN's Jeff Dickerson is saying is that Cutler has a hamstring injury.
Fresh off an east coast trip and handling of the Chicago Bears, the Arizona Cardinals provided plenty of wow moments as they marched to a victory 48 - 23. Cutler walked to the locker room after getting stiff-armed trying to take down Tony Jefferson as he returned the pick 26 yards for a touchdown late in the first half.
Jimmy Clausen, the backup quarterback, took over for Cutler. This after the Bears were called for roughing the passer on the play. The Bears might be looking to National Football Leagueprospects to develop should they feel the need to move on from the veteran sooner rather than later.
Pretty much the opposite of Smoking Jay Cutler. Perhaps maybe he was going to have the concussion protocol tests performed.
"That's one of those ones where you have to focus a little more, because it can be so easy and so hardat the same time", Bellamy said.
This most recent injury will nearlycertainly result in the continued downfall of the Bears, and leave fans of the team, clamoring for something new once more.
Jay Cutler left Sunday's game against the Cardinals with a hamstring injury and did not return.
Cutler was moving the offense quite well prior to the interception. Quarterback Carson Palmer exploded with 207 yards and three touchdowns in 19-for-32 passes. He also threw just 5 touchdown passes compared to 11 interceptions. A week after scoring on a 55-yard pass in the season-opening win against the Saints, Johnson got Sunday's game in Chicago started with a 108-yard kickoff return.
Two forced Bears turnovers gave them excellent field position. Nonetheless, Chicago's only scoring the rest of the game came on three field goals by Robbie Gould.
Clausen's struggles were further magnified in the second half.
The Bears had a record-setting day today; according to the Fox broadcast team.
Fitzgerald and Palmer made it a hat-trick of touchdown connections in the closing stages of the fourth quarter to put the match to bed, leaving the Bears having lost two games at home already this season, while the Cardinals sit 2-0.
This game was over very quickly, as the Bears defense continues to be among the worst in the NFL.
