It's the old tale of the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object. The two almost bulldozed through the WWE roster trying to get at each other and they were granted a rematch at SummerSlam. Something's got to give here.
A place like Madison Square Garden is an ideal debut ground, and the exposure of the Network show would only help. At Survivor Series 2002 in MSG, Show actually won (well, stole) the WWE Championship from Lesnar.
Rollins will retain his title here, of course.
The WWE has done a good job of building up Big Show, but to pull a quote out of Vinnie Mac's playbook, there's no chance in hell he's beating Lesnar.
Heyman will walk "The Beast Incarnate" to the ring as he goes to war with The Big Show. Show choke-slammed Lesnar on a steel chair, unbeknownst to the referee for the three-count.
So where does that leave Lesnar? He toppled the giant in a stretcher match at 2003's Judgment Day.
Now, no titles are on the line. The only thing worth fighting for in this super-heavyweight bout is pride.
What sort of big shocks might we see? Both wrestling heavyweights will duke it out for the third time in next month's "Hell in a Cell" event as Lesnar goes in for an equalizer. He should take the victory. But he won't return just yet, and he's not going to win the IC Title.
Big Show is 43 years old.
The show didn't take too kindly to those words.
Cole notes that fans on social media were upset Show interrupted Paul Heyman on RAW. Sure one of the reasons episodes featuring the likes of Brock Lesnar or Edge and Christian perform so well is due to various alumni's guest appearances, but adding in a few alumni on a regular basis would definitely catch viewers attention.
Obviously, there's unfinished business between Reigns and Lesnar. Why exactly are we supposed to believe he's not going to "Suplex City" at the Garden? It's center stage in New York City.
BF: What was it like for you the first time you walked through those doors to go to a wrestling event? Rock has said in interviews that he and Lesnar are longtime friends and he wants to work with him. The Beast in the East special had decent viewership, and Brock's opponent on that show was Kofi Kingston.
On the "perfect opponent" for Brock Lesnar: "It depends on which show we are talking about".
Predictions & victor: The never ending feud between these two men seems to simply exist to drive us all mad.
A lot has changed since.
