Both of these players could get going when we watch Seahawks-Bears football live streaming or on TV today.
"It was tough", Matt Slauson said of the return score, "but one of the things that we're really talking about now is just keep on swinging, never get down, just fight until the clock strikes zero". Forte did not come down with any of his targets in his week 3 game and it was clear the Seahawks defense was back to business with the return of Kam Chancellor.
This is Seattle's third shutout in six seasons under the coaching of Pete Carroll.
"We just couldn't generate anything", Fox said. The former Central Michigan back racked up 104 yards on only 16 carries and ran with the energy and determination that has become synonymous with Lynch's style of play. Lynch finished with 14 yards on five carries and spent half of the first quarter in the locker room before coming to the Seahawks bench.
Carroll said the extra day this week, with Seattle not playing until next Monday night against Detroit, could be beneficial in Lynch's recovery. We gave up 170 yards in penalties (mostly) on downfield throws, and it wasn't a mystery we were going to see a few of those. Two Steven Hauschka field goals in the fourth quarter made it a happy homecoming for the biggest home crowd in Century Link Field History as the Seahawks snapped a two-game losing streak to win their home opener 26 to 0 and improve their record to 1-2. He easily beat tight end Jimmy Graham off the edge for his first sack, and he then beat right tackle Garry Gilliam for his second sack of the game. "Whether it was routes, protection, or delivering the ball", says Bears Head Coach John Fox.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson (3) looks to pass as... Unfortunately, lack of depth saw Vic Fangio's group getting tired in the second half, opening up plenty of opportunities for the Seahawks to move the ball as the game went on.
Marshawn Lynch was questionable this week with a calf injury. It was a can't-beat-em-join-em moment for the Seahawks, who were burned by the same trick return last season by the Rams in a loss at St. Louis. The Bears fell for it and Sherman rambled 64 yards to set up a Seattle field goal in the first quarter. The special teams for the Seahawks continue to do well.
"I expected my role to be what Marshawn's role was supposed to be", Rawls said.
Another week, another second half collapse for the Bears.
After Seattle had a narrow 6-0 lead at halftime, Tyler Lockett ignited the Seahawks for the second half by returning the second half kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown. But it would be nice to see Seattle move the pocket earlier in games if they are struggling to protect him in the first half.
