There were rumors of updates to be announced just before 2016, but they should have been made with the announcement of the new iPhone 6S and iPad Pro if that were the case.
While Apple has yet to confirm the reported price point of the 2016 MacBook Air, assuming that it is true, then it will certainly take the record as the lowest-priced Apple laptop in history when it hits the retail markets next year.
But let's not forget that Apple's products are far from being cheap, so the iPad Pro might not be the first choice for anybody looking for such a tablet, which might lead to a change of plans.
This is according to a report from DigiTimes who claims that Apple has placed less than 2.5 million orders with their suppliers for the iPad Pro. According to a report published by Taiwanese Publication, Economic Daily News, it was said that the reason behind delay in launch of much awaited MacBook Pro and Air is because Apple wants to focus on the release of iPad Pro.
Furthermore, the new Intel Skylake processor provides improved performance to the device than any other processors out there.
On the whole, Apple and Intel still need to confirm about this speculation. People are now becoming more and more interested in replacing laptops and tablets with devices that serves their goal at home and even on the go. For example, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was revealed to have an advanced fingerprint sensor, and Google was very proud of its fingerprint sensor when they unveiled the Google Nexus devices for this year.
Although both 2-in-1devices come with Bluetooth connectivity, the Apple device supports the new Bluetooth 4.2 standard and also a mobile data connection with LTE. All the features that were mentioned are at its best right now-and for a long time, Apple won't be touching the Macbook Air nor its standing features.
The 2016 MacBook Air will reportedly come with 13-inch and 15-inch versions, but will be both thinner and lighter compared to its predecessors.
