It seems as though her divorce from Gavin Rossdale, 49, is not affecting her sexy style.
"Your personal life has been in the headlines", Lauer noted. "Are fans misinterpreting something here or is it all right there in front of us in terms of the meaning of the song?"
"It's just nice to do music and have that support from everybody", continued Stefani.
"Oh my God, put me on the spot!" she exclaimed.
Gwen Stefani and the rest of the judges from The Voice - Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams - stopped by Today to help promote season 9 of their hit singing competition show!
Stefani responded pretty eloquently: "What I'll say about that, is that I've never put a record out where I'm actually going through things in real time", she said. When she debuted the song on television on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Monday, her simple performance on the dimly-lit stage made everyone feel their hearts break. Reportedly, there were multiple reasons behind the No Doubt front woman's decision to end things with Gavin, including her belief that he was cheating. "It was heartbreaking and is still heartbreaking going through this whole process, but the fact that Gavin has been very adult in settling everything between the two and really been a man about it has been very therapeutic for Gwen's healing".
The Daily Mail noted that it is most likely that Gwen and Gavin will share custody of their three children: Nine-year-old Kingston, seven-year-old Zuma, and one-year-old Apollo.
Stefani's divorce from Rossdale was finalized this week after they spent 20 years as a couple, as previously reported by HNGN. The newly single star told Lauer that appearing as a coach on the NBC singing competition has helped her grow as an artist.
