Trump's victory was assured by the delegates from his home state of NY on Tuesday as the roll call commenced on the convention floor. "There's just a passion for Donald, and his wife knocked it out of the park", said Robert Antonacci of the NY delegation.
Two of Trump's children testified to his character, casting him as a man undeterred by challenges.
"This is going to be a leadership that puts the American people first".
He says Hillary Clinton represents a third term of what he's calling President Barack Obama's failed presidency.
Top Trump adviser Paul Manafort said the matter had been "totally blown out of proportion".
