Manchester United have been knocked back in their bid to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford after Juventus rejected a sizeable opening offer.
After playing for France in Euro 2016, Pogba is on vacation and was not included in Juventus' preseason roster in Australia for the International Champions Cup.
Indeed, Juventus want Manchester United to agree to pay all of the fee which Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, will be due from the deal.
However, Pogba looks to be paying no attention to the uncertainty about his future as he enjoys his summer holiday in Miami.
The Red Devils are believed to have told Raiola they want to conclude the deal quickly and do not want to drag the Pogba saga out all summer.
Pogba left Manchester United as a free agent in 2012 in somewhat bitter circumstances after failing to receive regular playing time by age 19. Let us know in the comments section below.
For months, Paul Pogba has been linked with a transfer to back to Manchester United. I'm not gambler but I know which corner I'd stand in.
Undeterred, United will go back in again with a steely determination to capture Pogba, who is now away on holiday in Miami alongside another of Raiola's clients, Romelu Lukaku.
They have already spent more than £50m in recruiting central defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal and Borussia Dortmund's Henrikh Mkhitaryan, both of whom flew out to Asia with the squad.
Meanwhile, Pogba is 6/4 to be in the Jose Mourinho's first XI when United take on Leicester City in the Community Shield seven days earlier.
