Khairy: Please support our Paralympics contingent in Rio

The Programme, which was first launched in London 2012, provides athletes and coaching staff with an experience of several days at a Paralympic Games.
The Paralympic Committee of Nigeria (PCN) and the Ministry of Sports, have announced a list of 23 athletes and six coaches that would represent the country at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
Para-cyclist Fraser Sharp has been added to the New Zealand team for the Rio Paralympics.
"There might be some truth there, but if you check my Facebook, I am always promoting the outstanding Paralympic athletes of Malaysia", he said. "Because of this continuing commitment, they have both been able to meet the Paralympics New Zealand selection criteria".
"Actually, that video is from 2015 at the Para Athletics World Championship, and not from Paralympics 2016", Khairy said in a Facebook post last night. Table-tennis has only 3 athletes (2 males and 1 female) representing the country. "Fraser will be a strong addition to the team in this newly available third male slot".
He has even written about changes in policies so that they are given equal incentives in 2013, but he said that maybe many did not get to read it.
Speaking at the same event, Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Patrick O'Donovan, told the Rio-bound group that the Government was "fully committed and supportive" of them. This will be my first ever Paralympic Games, the pinnacle event for Para-Athletes.
Mark Weatherall (CEO, Canoe Racing New Zealand), said: "It is a great credit to Scott, our high performance Para-Athlete for maintaining a full training schedule despite missing initial qualification in May".
"The number of athletes submitting personal applications with the IPC on the participation in Rio Paralympics will amount to 33", Andrei Mitkov said in an interview with TASS.
The New Zealand Paralympic Team now consists of one Para-Canoeist, three Para-Sailors, three Para-Shooters, eight Para-Cyclists, eight Para-Swimmers and eight Para-Athletics athletes.
Nigeria would be competing in only three Sports where she has comparative advantage at the Games.
The IPC ruled on August 7 to suspend the whole Russian Paralympic team from taking part in the 2016 Summer Paralympics.
The Rio 2016 Paralympic Games will be broadcast in New Zealand.
