Dr Ang noted the athletes have shown that they were truly the best Malaysian Paralympic athletes with their outstanding performances.
"We hope this games will inspire other Malaysians with disabilities to never give up on life and to empower themselves in showing with their true colours".
Special awards were then presented to US wheelchair athlete, Tatyana McFadden, who won four golds at the Rio 2016 Paralympics, her fourth Paralympics, and Syrian swimmer Ibrahim Al Hussein, who had his right leg amputated in 2013 after being injured by a bomb, and competed in this year's Games in the 50m and 100m freestyle S10.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko congratulated and thanked members of the Ukrainian Paralympics team for their achievements during the games.
Tributes were also paid to Iranian cyclist Bahman Golbarnezhad, who died following a crash in the men's C4/C5 road race on Saturday. "We can show the world how wonderful we are".
Last night's victory increased Egypt's medal tally at the Rio Paralympic Games to 12 medals.
International Paralympic Committee President Sir Philip Craven, addressing the event said Rio Paralympics were "uniquely Brazilian and wondrous", as quoted by the BBC.
Another gold medal in swimming went to Vladimir Izotov, who exceeded his London Paralympics result in the 100 m breaststroke, setting a new Paralympic record.
