Professional clowns angered by nationwide creepy clown hysteria

Rockford Police report that they have received numerous calls regarding suspicious clown sightings around the area.
Various Stateline Police departments say they're also dealing with clown sightings.
And so far, there have been no reports, sightings or threats from creepy clowns in Pasadena, said Pasadena Lt. Pete Hettema.
On Tuesday, Texas State University in San Marcos announced a person dressed in a clown outfit assaulted someone outside of a university housing complex. While dressing up as a clown is not illegal in the State of Iowa, if you scare or intimidate people or if you are trespassing, you could get into trouble.
Several residents are reporting on Facebook creepy clown sightings in Oklahoma City.
The Beloit Police Department is also investigating the Twisty the Clown Facebook page.
Apparently there were clown-related threats made against New Haven schools on Instagram, and the district has chose to take action.
Halloween is still nearly a month away, but dozens of scary clown sightings have already been reported cross several US states - and now Southern California.
Any intimidating, threatening or anti-social behaviour would not be tolerated, police said.
The police department said people are using social media as an opportunity to involve themselves in the mischief.

On the flips side, Anderegg also says parents shouldn't be anxious about kids being drawn to any creepy clown figures. Police want parents to reassure their children that there are no clowns lurking in the shadows to snatch them up.
An Instagram account with images of creepy looking clowns in public places says it plans to appear in various Los Angeles County cities, including Pasadena, in the coming days and weeks.
