Jim Carrey has been hit by another wrongful death lawsuit over ex-girlfriend Cathriona White's suicide.
According to the lawsuit obtained from the Superior Court of California, Brigid Sweetman alleges her daughter overdosed after she learned Carrey had given her three sexually transmitted diseases.
Brigid then went on to call Jim "heartless", "outlandish", "exploitative", "despicable", "abhorrent", "outrageous", "opportunistic" and "pure evil", in the document, and claims that her daughter was distraught over the fact that Jim, 54, gave her oral and genital herpes, as well as chlamydia, which can leave women sterile.
"It is understandable that a mother who has lost a daughter will look for someone to blame", the statement reads. Sweetman says Carrey was first dismissive and then claimed she contracted any disease she might have from someone else.
In September, White's estranged husband also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Carrey.
Sweetman's attorney Michael Avenatti added, "The lies from Jim Carrey and his handlers need to stop".
Jim Carrey's legal troubles aren't over yet. "White ending her life".
White was found dead in her Los Angeles home on September 24, 2015, surrounded by four prescription medications - Ambien, Percocet, Propranolol and Zofran - not in her name.
The document says that Cathriona texted Jim again in February 2013 that she "had a couple of bumps down there again, felt them this morning so I want to get it checked" but the Truman Show actor reportedly brushed her off again, assuring her she had just gotten an "abrasion" from sex.
Marty also claims that Cathriona was forced to move out of her home when she was 15, due to the way her mother treated her.
The lawsuit also claim that Carrey hired "fixers" to scare White into keeping quiet. And he should be ashamed for how he has used his Hollywood attorneys to badmouth Cat's husband Mark with the hope that nobody will hold him responsible for what he did.
"But in directing her grief and rage at Jim Carrey and joining this ridiculous lawyer's attempt to capitalise on Cathríona's suicide, Ms Sweetman is heading down the same dark path as Cathríona's green-card "husband" Mark Burton". Carrey and his attorney have feverishly denied these allegations, calling them "desperate, bogus claims".
The star's lawyers said he "will not pay money to end this opportunist's transparent shakedown lawsuit, and this malicious case will be dismissed".
"Mr. Carrey has suffered a great deal in the past year with the suicide of the woman he dearly loved, and it is outrageous that he should be subjected to this predatory lawsuit".
