That'd be fun. 'Cause I personally, they've beaten the teams I've been on the last couple years, and I want to beat those guys really bad. I was basically begging him. It was noticeable that the first pre-season game of Durant with the Golden State Warriors was not at all smooth.
With the way the Warriors play, it had to be a thought in the back of his mind throughout the regular season, possibly just the playoffs, but the Warriors losing in the Finals probably made the light bulb in KD's head come on.
"As they lost, it became more and more real every day", Durant said.
Do you think Durant will play better in the coming games of Golden State Warriors? I wanted to see if what I've heard and what I've seen on the outside is really true. Then once I sat down with these guys, everything that I wanted to know about them, they kinda showed me. So it's why recently when Howard talked to Sirius XM NBA Radio, he treated the Golden State Warriors like that pretentious behaving kid in school; he possessed no knowledge of what they have had going on.
"I guess you could say I'm glad that they lost". Durant could still shoot open 3's and layups if the Warriors had won the '16 title. The Warriors would've went with the, "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" method instead.
Durant and the Thunder lost a seven-game series to the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals after taking a 3-1 lead in the series.
Based on what we've seen in preseason, Durant and the Warriors look like a preternaturally good fit. People that know me know what I mean, so it is what it is. Like I said, I saw the expressions on K.D.'s face of how happy he was. Harrison Barnes still gets maxed out somewhere else and leaves the flawless spot in the lineup for Durant. Still, Howard mentioned that he was already watching the Warriors (at a bowling alley, but still) and the entire National Basketball Association will nearly certainly be keeping a close eye on the title favorites throughout the campaign.
