Judge found Iowa police slaying suspect exploited, hit mom

The Iowa State Patrol is reporting people to be wary of any accounts that may be set-up seeking donations to the families of the two Des Moines metro police officers shot and killed this week.
Sgt. Paul Parizek, a representative for the Des Moines police, said there did "not appear that there was any interaction between these officers and the coward who shot them", NBC News reports.
Funeral services are scheduled Monday for Beminio and Tuesday for Martin.
The 46-year-old stood silently, staring straight ahead, as the judge set his bond at $10 million on two charges of first-degree murder.

"Always, from Day 1 the day he walked in the door here at Simpson, he wanted to be a police officer", Jones said.
He will be buried at Rosehill Cemetery, a spot on the edge of the community surrounded by farmland. Police had identified Greene as a suspect in the killing of 24-year-old Urbandale officer Justin Martin and 39-year-old Des Moines Sgt. Anthony Beminio.
Court documents show Scott Michael Greene, the man accused of killing two Iowa police officers, physically hit and financially exploited his mother.
Urbandale Sgt. Chad Underwood said he believes no officer in his department has previously been shot in the line of duty.
Greene was still hospitalized on Thursday morning, more than a day after he was apprehended, and had not spoken to detectives at that point, officials said.
"At the end of his junior season, we got beaten in the playoffs, we were pretty dejected", he said, but Beminio's reaction was, "Coach, can we start lifting tomorrow?" And I want my friends to come home to me.
The assumption that every attack toward police must be done by someone who is part of Black Lives Matter is ridiculous. People, schools, businesses, cities and counties are also encouraged to fly their flags at half-staff.

Martin was found dead about 1 am local time in Urbandale, an affluent suburb of Des Moines.
The officers were killed early Wednesday in separate shootings as they sat in their cars.
BuzzFeed discovered an extraordinary YouTube video uploaded last month by a user named Scott Greene. The officers were fatally shot early Wednesday. Sheriff's deputies and state patrol officers took him into custody.
Two days later, Urbandale police were called to answer a complaint of harassment at the apartment complex where Greene lived.
