After the game, things got messy between the two of them. Dez Bryant didn't explain what led to the postgame scuffle, but television replays show Norman taking a swing and throwing a towel at him. Following the Cowboys game yesterday against Norman's team, the Redskins, Bryant spoke to the media and he had a handful of things to say regarding Norman. "I think that's what we're all here to do. I shouldn't have even stooped down to that. we have something special here in Dallas". So, out of those three games, you would think that a guy of that magnitude, of that kind of big standards, would do more than that.
When we've got to have him, I think Scott's doing an wonderful job of utilizing him, and Dak certainly has that option when he is called upon to either run it or do something different with it.
"I'm sorry if I offended anybody - well, actually, I'm not sorry about that", Norman said. That's who I am.
It's understandable on both ends - yes, Joel probably could've gotten a couple extra minutes, considering he'll have the game off against Chicago in Friday and isn " t scheduled to play again until Sunday in Cleveland.
Bryant was quick to fire back afterwards.
"Honestly I can't believe he's on tv lien [sic]".
Bryant, also 28, has been among the most dazzling players since joining the league as a first-round draft pick in 2010. "I was perfectly fine. I was just using my feet". Bryant got up and got in Norman's face, and the two continued to jaw back and forth.
Dez Bryant fired the first shot on his way back to the locker room by saying, "Better tell Washington to get their money back".
No one knows what was said but it was enough to make Dez Bryant lose his cool. "He made it personal". Don't come for me. That's exactly what I did.
But like a magnet, controversy just seems to attract to Norman this season. It was a direct response to Norman claiming Bryant didn't deserve his deal after the Panthers shut the Cowboys WR down last Thanksgiving.
"You supposed to be a lockdown corner, and you can't even play man-to-man", Bryant said. At the end of the day, like I said - zero touchdowns. And that was trashy on his behalf. Don't do that. That's overboard. "They're not even looking for you or having a conversation with you". He finished with 72 yards on five catches (out of seven targets) and would have walked in with a touchdown if Prescott had just seen how open he got on this play.
"Like, but I'm trash and he beats me all day", Norman said, laughing.
In any event, game ball to Robert Covington, who not only broke out of his shooting slump with 19 points on 6-10 shooting (4-7 from three), but was as prolific on defense as I've ever seen him; Kawhi Leonard-esque in his handsiness and general versatility. But we've played the game three times already, and my numbers speak for themselves.
"He can go cry, holler, hoot, whatever he wants to do, man". "And I don't care, " Gruden said. It's not about no individuals out here yelling.
