Instagram might soon allow users to post multiple images at once as it is now testing this change.
It is important to note that this new multiple photos in one post feature is not now available in the regular Instagram app for Android.
The screenshots shared by Philip Chang. While regular users can, of course, stick images together, this feature is one that allows you to swipe side-to-side to see separate photographs within a single post.
These will presumably be shared as a single post, although, those with access to the new beta build are not now able to share albums on their Timelines - since the feature is only being trialled.
Instagram is said to be working on a new feature where it will allow multiple photo posts to be posted as an album on its app. Maybe you will have more luck then us. The integration of Boomerang in the Stories and Live video Stories feature has given the app a new edge.
However, the album sharing feature is still in beta and may or may not see the light of the day. I'd imagine the amount of photos you can post in a carousel would be limited to just a few; advertisers can post a maximum of five.
Once the feature is announced and made totes official, we will update you. Users who have been looking for options to create photo albums will soon be able to take advantage of this multi-photo option.
Instagram did not comment when contacted for more information.
Facebook paid $1billion for the service back in 2012, with the simple photo sharing social network going on to achieve even greater success - topping 500 million users a year ago.
