Long-time RSS activist Trivendra Singh Rawat was on Friday elected the leader of the BJP Legislature Party and the next Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. "We will ensure balanced development of UP", Adityanath said.
Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh team comprises Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Siddharth Nath Singh, Mukut Bihari Verma and Ashutosh Tandon as cabinet ministers.
Sources indicated that Adityanath wasn't the choice of some senior BJP leaders and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
The party has designated two deputy chief ministers, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, in a bid to balance the caste dynamics but many say that may not be enough.
In Maharashtra and Jharkhand, neither Devendra Fadnavis nor Raghubar Das was a high-profile leader before they took oath as chief minister.

After his name was announced for the state's top job yesterday, Yogi Adityanath had said, "I will take UP forward with the PM's motto of sabka saath sabka vikas".
Both MLAs reiterated that equal development of Uttar Pradesh and of every single person of the state along with an end to goonda raj and corruption will remain the topmost priority of Adityanath's government.
