Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ordered on Monday the immediate reopening of the Pak-Afghan border crossings.
The border was closed last month after a series of attacks, claimed by the Taliban, killed at least 100 people in the country.
The Prime Minister reiterated his resolve to establish a strong partnership between Pakistan and Russian Federation in all fields, stating that this cooperation would positively contribute towards promoting peace and stability in the region.
He said recent incidents of terrorism in Pakistan have been traced back to anti-Pakistan elements in Afghanistan.
The speakers urging the FATA parliamentarian said the FATA representatives should take up the issue with the high authorities of the government to reopen the Pak-Afghan border.
The border crossings remained open on March 7 and 8 "in order to provide an opportunity to those nationals of Afghanistan who had come to Pakistan on valid visas and wish to return to their country", a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had stated.
Pakistan has an agreement with Afghanistan which allows the landlocked Afghanistan to import goods via Pakistan.
"The Prime Minister emphasised that Pakistan is pursuing a policy of peaceful neighbourhood and wishes to resolve all outstanding issues with its neighbours, peacefully through dialogue", a statement from the Prime Minister's Office said.
Last year, Pakistan started building a barrier at Torkham, angering Afghanistan which rejects the colonial-era Durand Line border drawn up in 1893 and does not want a solid recognition of the boundary.
Mairaj uddin Shinwari said that Torkham border has been closed since 17th February which has suffered the traders, transporters and all common people of Landikotal. However, we also expect some amicable solution to the problems so that the two countries can resume trade..
Attahullah Khogyani, a spokesman for the governor of the Afghan province of Nangarhar governor, said border talks are ongoing but the gates at Torkham haven't been opened yet.
Islamabad blamed terrorist sanctuaries on the Afghan side for plotting the attacks and demanded action against them.
