While the average moviegoer might just respond with a shrug or "whatever", Star Wars superfans might seriously get up in arms about such a thing. So far as we've always known, Han Solo is the smuggler's given name. Back in 2015, Disney and Lucasfilm partnered to revamp Star Wars for a new generation when The Force Awakens slid into theaters. "Her performance remains as it is in 'VIII'".
"We are not changing [Episode] 8 to deal with her passing", said Iger. According to him, the image features cast member Andy Serkis holding an object that looks similar to the one with the sinister character.
"We're not doing that with Carrie", Iger said, describing the upcoming film as "just as satisfying" as the last "Star Wars". Now, the first one we could assume, seeing as how Han's rescue of Chewbacca from Imperial slavery is long-established Star Wars lore, and it makes sense it would be included in this origin tale.
OK, so typically tightlipped studio answers. Iger has previously confirmed that the untitled film would finally show fans exactly how Han and Chewbacca's relationship evolved from a mere life debt agreement to the kind of genuine friendship we all wish we had. "The film will include "acquiring a certain vehicle and meeting a certain Wookie, ' he said". He also revealed his character's name: Beckett.
Um, what?? His name isn't Han Solo???
