President Trump Hits the Golf Course For the 13th Time

This marks yet another weekend during which the Trump administration appears to have lied about knowing that President Trump was playing golf. Leaving the fact that Fox believes the president doing work is "BREAKING" news, this would be an unremarkable tweet apart from the fact the president actually spent a lot of the weekend at his Virginia golf club.

"White House officials have said Mr. Trump goes to his clubs and restaurants because he is comfortable there, but critics increasingly argue that the visits are priceless advertising and that Mr. Trump and his family are using the presidency as a way to enrich themselves". The White House would not confirm whether the president had played a round of golf.

He was at D.C.'s Trump International Hotel for dinner by 9 p.m. His staff said he was in meetings, but social media posts showed he was wearing his golf attire and spending time on the links.

On late Sunday morning, Trump headed back to the club where the White House said the he took three meetings.

Mar-a-Lago, the Florida estate and private club owned by Trump, which he has visited frequently as president and has described as "the Southern White House". If he were to continue at this pace, Trump would play golf approximately 300 times in his four-year term.

President Donald Trump used to love to criticize then-president Obama for his golf games. Trump then left about an hour after he arrived.

The president staying in the nation's capital for the weekend had been considered completely normal and even routine for every president before him.
