Ronaldo scores his 100th goal in European competition

The match was a historical one for Cristiano Ronaldo as he completed his century of goals in UEFA competitions, reports ESPN. We know it won't be easy - Real Madrid are very strong at home, but we have to play as if we were at home ourselves.

Arturo Vidal headed Bayern into the lead, but then skied a penalty attempt on the stroke of half-time.

But Ronaldo equalised nearly immediately following half-time by knocking home Dani Carvajal's cross, then provoked two bookings which saw Bayern centre-half Javi Martinez sent off, and completed the comeback by stabbing in a cross from substitute Marco Asensio.

Zidane added: 'I feel unfair to all of those who do not play - there are 24 players and it will always happen.

"I don't know if it's envy, but Cristiano's numbers speak for themselves", said the Brazil defender, "It's hard to contemplate what he has done for football, and he is still playing at a very high level". First they beat Bayern Munich on their home patch in the first leg of their Champion League encounter and then saw off Sporting Gijon without three of their best players. "It was a great win, the team played well and the return leg is open".

The Frenchman said: "Winning here isn't easy".

Leicester had been enjoying their best spell of the half when suddenly they were caught short-handed at the back on 27 minutes.

"We had the game under control in the first half, but we lost our efficiency after the break".

Teenager Kylian Mbappe scored twice to give AS Monaco a 3-2 win at Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday in a match that was postponed following an attack on the home team's bus.

"Cristiano was unhappy because he couldn't score a third, that's how ambitious he is", Zidane said. "We came up against a goalkeeper who pulled off a lot of saves". "If Neuer hadn't been on such a good night we would have scored more".

Real Madrid has heavily dominated the 10-men Bayern Munich but the Manuel Neuer denied any casualty after the second goal.

"We didn't have much of the ball, the security was missing", said Neuer. Bayern are just W6-D3-L7 in Champions League away games since 2014/15 and only W1-D3-L3 in knockout games, with that sole victory coming over Arsenal so we don't think they'll be able to get the result they need here. He's suffering now but we hope it's nothing serious.
