It was the second warm-up game that Australia and Pakistan were set to play in England prior to the start of the Champions Trophy.
Both Australia and Pakistan came into this game on back of tense wins against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in their respective warm-up games, securing last-over wins in pursuit of 300-plus targets.
Starc said: "So even coming back into the nets, it didn't feel like it took too long to get some good rhythm back".
"I've spent plenty of time up in Brisbane in the nets, but it will be nice to get out and bowl some overs in the middle", Starc said.
The prospect of the fearsome foursome playing together is one Australia has been relishing but injuries at different times have prevented it from happening.
Australian captain Steven Smith won the toss and elected to bat, but 62 balls after starting, the rain returned and this time it proved terminal for the match. "So I think it's exciting for the four of us".
"We'll just make a decision on Wednesday or Thursday with the make-up of the side, but pretty sure most of the guys will be available for selection".
