While Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's roles in the White House have earned scorn and concerns about nepotism, neither Kushner nor Ivanka are receiving salaries for their positions assisting the president.
The analysis by Roll Call also showed there are more male employees in the White House than women - approximately 200 men as compared to 174 women.
Chief strategist Steve Bannon and chief of staff Reince Priebus will both make $179,700 this year for their work at the White House, but they aren't the only ones. Men earn about $106,000 a year, while women bring home roughly $73,000.
On Friday, White House released its annual report to Congress detailing the names, statuses and salaries of 377 employees.
But personnel in Trump's White House generally cost more than those in Obama's, with a median salary of $89,000 compared to the $73,051 earned by a White House staffer in 2016.
Perhaps the biggest reduction comes in the size of the first lady's staff: "There are five staffers dedicated to Melania Trump vs. 24 staffers who served Michelle Obama (FY2009)".
Meanwhile, some of Mr Trump's lowest paid officials have senior roles, including Gary Cohn, the President's chief economic advisor and former Goldman Sachs president, and Chris Liddell, the White House's director of strategic initiatives and ex-General Motors and Microsoft executive. Mr Obama had 472 staffers during the final year of his presidency, down from 487 in his first year.
