"It's a new one", Sheeran shot back, as though admonishing Arya for not checking into Westeros' Top 40 recently.
Popular singer Ed Sheeran deleted his Twitter account this morning - without giving any kind of public explanation to his fans.
They thought that it would be a cool idea to invite Ed to Springfield because he is a self-confessed The Simpsons fan who even owns a Blinky tattoo. "It's like what're we doing here?" The cameo drew widespread criticism, with many social media users claiming Sheeran's role was too distracting.
His Instagram is still active, though, and on Monday night, he shared a photo of himself in Peru. The users who tried to visit HBO.com saw an error message displayed, which read there was a problem loading the page, according to The Hollywood Reporter. I cant read it.
Ed was once misunderstood to be slamming Lady Gaga in an interview and said her fans laid into him on Twitter. "Watch out for this one, me and Lisa have a whole thing going on".
Before he deleted his account, Sheeran had already soured on the idea of Twitter and social media a few times.
While Ed had been pretty open about his on and off again relationship with Twitter, the move came as a sudden one and he has yet to publicly address the move. Twitter's a platform for that.
Could it have had something to do with his cameo in Game of Thrones? When Arya compliments the soldiers on the catchy tune, Sheeran says, "It's new".
All this is very understandable, on account of Twitter primarily being a place where people go to either hurl insults at each other or steal jokes from each other.
