Quantasia Sharpton and two other plaintiffs (who preferred to remain anonymous) claim that Usher had unprotected sex with them and gave them the infection. She claims he didn't tell her he allegedly had genital herpes.
Sharpton is one of three Usher accusers represented by Bloom, but she is the only one who is not doing so anonymously. According to a report from TMZ, sources say while Usher may have called Sharpton on stage with him, he absolutely did not "hook up with her".
The struggle is real, Usher. The 21-year-old came forward in a press conference Monday to claim she and the singer had sex after one of his concerts in 2015. She says that later that night a security guard asked for her number because Usher was "interested" in her. They talked for a while, then had "sexual contact", Sharpton said. One of her clients is a man who said he had oral sex with the star with no warning about his STD. She says she is proud of Sharpton for coming forward and that the civilian has been body-shamed during this process. Two of the accusers, one of whom has tested positive for herpes, remain anonymous, but the other, Quantasia Sharpton, went public with her accusation at a news conference in NY.
Another Jane Doe is also suing Usher for $20 million, a figure that was originally reported to be $40 million.
Usher's insurance company doesn't want to pay for his herpes-related lawsuits.
Among their list of reasons, New York Marine claims the policy between them and Usher "does not apply to "bodily injury" ... arising out of the transmission of any communicable diseases by insured".
