CBI judge Jagdeep Singh granted permission in this regard on Friday after Panchkula deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Mahabir Singh moved an application before the court, contending that they can not bring the dera chief in person due to law and order problem. Charged with inciting violence in Panchkula which killed at least 40 people, he is likely to be presented before a court in Panchkula.
The police said on Friday that Haryana police personnel and paramilitary staff had been deployed in and around the Panchkula district courts complex to ensure law and order, where the hearing will be held at the special Central Bureau of India (CBI) court.
The Haryana Police also arrested the sect's IT head Vineet Insaan from Sirsa.
"We have arrested three Haryana policemen who were part of the Dera sect chief's security on August 25", he said. According to the report, Ram Rahim asked her mother whether his sect was functioning well in his absence.
The Haryana Police have booked Honeypreet for sedition and being involved in an alleged conspiracy to help Ram Rahim escape after his conviction. He ended up testifying against Ram Rahim in the court during the trial.
The Special CBI judge Jagdeep Singh is set to hear the murder cases related to Sirsa-based journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati and former Dera manager Ranjit Singh.
They were arrested after being called to join the investigation, said Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police Manbir Singh.
Earlier a lookout notice was issued against Dera Sacha Sauda chief and rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim's adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan.
An FIR was lodged in Panchkula police station following the direction of the Punjab and Haryana High Court after a statement by a newspaper reporter against Aditya and Surinder Dhiman Insan.
