Investigators anticipate vital information could be provided by Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, in connection with Sunday's deadly shooting upon her return to the United States Thursday (Manila time).
The non-stop flight arrived as scheduled at about 7:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday (October 03) (0230 GMT Wednesday) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), according to the airline tracking website FlightAware.com and passengers from the flight.
Danley was not arrested after landing and has not been charged in connection with the shooting, according to the Times, which reports that she had been in the Philippines since September 25.
One sister tearfully said: "I know that she don't know anything".
"I reiterate he has no knowledge of Mr. Paddock or any knowledge as to why Mr. Paddock would do such a terrible awful thing", his daughter said.
Paddock had set up cameras both inside and outside the hotel room he was shooting from. One sister says she was "even (more) shocked than us" by his crime. "In that sense, I thank him for sparing my sister's life but that won't be to compensate the 59 people's lives".
Paddock and Danley reportedly dated for at least a few years after they met at a restaurant inside a casino in Reno, Nevada where Danley was employed.
Marilou Danley was identified as Stephen Paddock's companion or roommate, officials said.
Danley's sisters told Seven News that she was wired $127,000.
Mr Bustos said he immediately contacted his younger sister when he saw the news that Paddock had opened fire on music fans from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
While Danley was away, Paddock wired $100,000 to an account in the Philippines, according to senior law enforcement officials. She is a good person and gentle soul.
Speaking to CNN's Australian affiliate 7 News with their faces blurred and their names not identified, Danley's sisters revealed that she was in the Philippines and arrived back in the USA on Tuesday (Oct. 3).
Police said they believed he had used 10 suitcases to smuggle the weapons up to the room, which he had checked into using an ID belonging to Ms Dandy four days earlier.
Those who knew Danley said they were surprised she had become involved with Paddock.
