Moody's lead retail analyst Charlie O'Shea said Walmart is giving shoppers a "compelling online alternative to Amazon" and views its online sales forecast as an "impressive goal, especially on the heels of the 30 percent (growth) outlined at the 2016 investor meeting, which at the time seemed aspirational". The company says this will be due to growth in ecommerce and comp-sales. The stock now has Monthly Volatility of 1.22% and Weekly Volatility of 1.33%.
People can return their already purchased items by logging on the Walmart app.
But the online push has come at a cost: Profit margins on online orders are narrower than those for in-store sales, due to fulfillment expenses. Wisconsin-based Heartland Inc has invested 0.83% in Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE:WMT).

Both companies continue to try and entice customers away from the other by offering ever-more convenient shopping experiences.
This is just one part of the company working to use its massive network of stores - since 90 percent of the U.S. population lives within 10 miles of a Walmart - to compete in the online retail market alongside Amazon, according to Business Insider.
