Modi added that the Congress had also left no stone unturned to put obstacles in the path of Morarji Desai, another Congress leader from Gujarat who had gone on to become the prime minister of India.

Replying the questions raised by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi regarding development in Gujarat, BJP president Amit Shah said, Mr Gandhi has no right to ask questions about the development of Gujarat. Modi also attacked the Congress over delay in the Sardar Sarovar dam project, saying that just because the concept of dam on the Narmada was envisaged by Sardar Patel, successive Congress Governments didn't complete it.
