World of Warcraft Classic reveal trailer. In addition to the just-announced expansion, Blizzard has chose to give in to players who've hated all the expansions to date and would rather play the original game, sans pandas and Lich Kings.
At BlizzCon 2017, World of Warcraft's developers announced new social features coming to their game in the upcoming expansion. Watch out for more BlizzCon and other gaming news here on A9K. Two fabled kingdoms will be open for exploration.
First on the list of additions are the new questing zones, both legendary in the Warcraft lore: Zandalar for the Horde, and Kul Tiras for the Alliance. As a defender of the Alliance, venture to the seafaring kingdom of Kul Tiras, home of Jaina Proudmoore, and rally its inhabitants to fight for your cause. There will two new continents to explore, along with new resources for the big battle. Right now, Blizzard has only six races in the works, but more are planned for the future; Horde players will be able to make Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren, and Zanadalari Trolls, while Alliance players will gain the option to create Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, and Dark Iron Dwarves. Island Expeditions will be dynamic, variable missions which set players out in groups of three to explore uncharted areas and race against the enemy faction to secure resources.
Each World of Warcraft expansion comes with new features, usually in the form of new dungeons and raids, a raised level cap, a new PvP map, and plenty of new sweet, sweet loot. Capture resources to build your faction's forces, lead the charge as your troops lay siege to objectives, and fight the enemy commander to claim victory in this new PvE mode inspired by classic Warcraft RTS battles.
Infuse Your Armor with Titanic Might: Seek out Azerite, an invaluable new resource that has emerged in the Legion's wake. Instead, a new system will focus on a necklace called the Heart of Azeroth.
Now there is no word as to when World of Warcraft Classic is set to release, and Blizzard has yet to share any details beyond the short cinematic trailer, but this does mean that players won't have to put up with the drama that comes with unofficial servers.
