JAY-Z has commented on the jail sentence given to rapper Meek Mill, calling it "unjust and heavy handed".
The 30-year-old was convicted of drug dealing and gun possession in 2008, and received a prison sentence of 11-to-23 months.
Other celebrities who shared their reactions to Mill's prison sentence include Kevin Hart and T.I.
After he is shipped off to state prison, she said, "I'll be done with you".
Meek appeared in court in Philadelphia on November 6 for two recent arrests: one for getting into a fight at an airport in St. Louis, and one for recklessly driving a motorcycle through the streets of NYC.
On Dec. 17, 2015, a judge found Mill guilty of violating his parole once again, and the rapper was given 90 days of house arrest. He was immediately taken into custody. He initially received five years probation, but his failure to report to a probation officer or get prior approval for traveling outside of Philadelphia earned him an additional five months in prison in 2013, while his probation was extended to 10 years.
Judge Genece E. Brinkley, who has overseen Meek Mill's case since he was known by his given name, Robert Rahmeek Williams, scolded the rapper in court on Monday for the violations, which stemmed from a 2008 conviction.
Twice this year, Meek Mill has been arrested. Meek has been on probation for a gun and drug charge dated back to 2009.
However, Judge Brinkley is reported to have said that she's been trying to help Meek Mill for 10 years but the rapper does what he wants.
