In Baltimore, four MS-13 members were arrested and indicted on charges including violent crimes in aid of racketeering and conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering. "Whether on the local, state or federal level, effective collaboration with other law enforcement partners is an essential part of the criminal investigations HSI conducts, such as the recently completed Operation Raging Bull".
While Operation Raging Bull is being heralded as a victory, there are still many risky MS-13 members that the government is still targeting.
Two people were arrested in East Boston and Chelsea as part of a massive crackdown on the MS-13 street gang.
"This is a great operation, but we are not done, and we will not be done until we totally dismantle this organization", he said.
Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Thomas Homan on Thursday touted Operation Raging Bull, an 18-month operation that resulted in the arrests of 267 suspected MS-13 gang members and associates.
The only street gang designated by the Treasury Department as a transnational criminal organization, MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, boasts almost 10,000 members in the United States, mostly immigrants from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. El Salvador police also arrested 53 gang members in El Salvador. "Sixteen of those arrested were USA citizens and 198 were foreign nationals, of which only five had legal status to be in the United States".
In April, Trump tweeted that "weak illegal immigration policies of the Obama Admin. allowed bad MS 13 gangs to form in cities across U.S".

In February, Trump directed the Justice Department to redouble its efforts to root out MS-13 and other transnational criminal organizations.

Benner said 198 of the alleged MS-13 members who were arrested were foreign nationals, while 16 suspects were US citizens. He said the arrests will help make the country safer "by taking MS-13 off our streets for good".
Over that second phase, between October and November of 2017, 214 members of MS-13 were arrested.
While the vast majority of those youths are not criminals, Kolb said, they are a fertile recruiting base for gangs like MS-13.
"The MS-13 gang is a unsafe menace to our children, families, and citizens of not just the United States, but internationally", Luck said.
Border Patrol Deputy Chief Scott Luck said his agents in the Rio Grande Valley Border Sector in Texas worked with the El Salvadoran joint border intelligence crew to detect, identify and collect information for confirmed MS-13 gang members within the United States.
