What I'd like to draw special attention to, is when DF mentions the "significantly improved" draw distances on Xbox One X (at 5:50 in the video). "However, we are looking to bring a one-hour trial period to the game once player concurrency and server stability are optimized; we'll share more in the future".
Many Early Access games on Steam that make their way to Microsoft's console now have a dedicated home in the Game Preview program if they are still being developed.
Overall, PUBG on Xbox One is a pretty faithful port of the PC version, with a control scheme that takes some getting used to but does a solid job of translating to a controller.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is now available on Xbox One and Xbox One X. The guys over at DigitalFoundry have done their usual technical analysis of the game, focusing on visuals and frame-rate. Although the game is virtually identical to its PC counterpart, there are obviously a few control differences with the console version given that it uses a gamepad layout.
In the meantime, it's worth pointing out that the Xbox One file size for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds could be extended if players chose to purchase some of the cosmetic DLC that was available from December 7 to December 10. Gathering weapons and armor, players must remain inside a circle that notes the playable area; trying to stay out of the circle will lead to you taking damage as it moves inward, forcing all the surviving players into a smaller and smaller area.
Once again, if you want to buy the Xbox One version of PUBG, you can look on the Xbox Store now and buy it for just thirty dollars.
