A Winter Weather Advisory will be in place through 7 p.m. Christmas evening for snow, blowing snow, and wind chills below zero.
Plan on slippery road conditions.
Kansas City is now not in the advisory area but could be added if heavier snow begins to develop across the metro by Sunday morning.
In addition, temperatures will remain very cold with lows in the single digits and highs only around 10° through Wednesday.
The advisory was issued for northern New Jersey, as well as Westchester County, other north suburban and upstate counties, and the entire state of CT.
