The two-time Oscar victor didn't stop there, riffing more on the present-day relationship between Trump and the media, while calling the president the "baby-in-chief". Some praised him for his honesty, while others pointed out that Trump is a celebrity himself.
"What amazes me is that (Trump is) such a bad con artist", De Niro told USA TODAY.

The actress took home the award for her role as female newspaper publisher Kay Graham in hit movie The Post.
The actor's opinions were not at all scripted with his speech but that was not going to deter him from sharing his views on the President of the United States.
"Our government today, with the propping [up] of our baby-in-chief-the Jerkoff-in-chief, I call him-has put the press under siege, ridiculing it through, trying to discredit it though, outrageous attacks and lies", De Niro continued.
And again just like 1971 the press is distinguishing itself with fearless, exacting journalism.
