On Friday night, former Alabama star LB Reuben Foster was arrested on charges of marijuana possession.

Reuben Foster, who is coming off a good rookie year campaign, found himself with bracelets around his wrist after cope arrested him for possession of marijuana in his home state of Alabama on Friday.

Although he missed six games with a knee injury, Foster had an excellent rookie season when he was healthy enough to play.

He was arrested in Tuscaloosa and his bond is set at $2,500.

The arrest comes almost two weeks after Foster closed out his rookie season, finishing second on the 49ers in tackles with 72 in 10 games.

A first round pick in last year's National Football League draft, Foster is now widely viewed as one of the NFL's most promising young defensive players.

After drafting Foster in April, 49ers general manager John Lynch said he "anticipated" people questioning Foster's off-field issues, but he felt good about making the pick anyway.
