In yet another incident of rape in Haryana, a 14-year-old boy allegedly raped a three-year-old girl in a colony in Hisar, the police said today.
In Faridabad district of Haryana, a 22-year-old woman, who was returning home from work on Sunday evening, was kidnapped and gang-raped by four men in a moving vehicle for nearly two hours, an NDTV report said.
The Haryana Police, based on the complaint of the victim girl's family, had listed Gulshan, a Class 12 student, as the prime suspect in the kidnapping, rape and murder of the girl.
When the parents of the victim returned home they found the girl in the pool of blood.
An 11-year-old girl was raped and killed in Panipat last week.
Police authorities in Panipat say the two men who were neighbours of the girl confessed to luring the girl away from her home and raping her before they killed her and disposed of her body. The law and order situation has completely broken down. The 15-year-old's mutilated body was on Saturday fished out from a pond near Jind district's Budha Khera village, around 115km from Jhansa, her village in Kurukshetra district.
In his first response to five rapes in five days in Haryana, chief minister ML Khattar on Wednesday termed the incidents as "unfortunate" and said his government will take strict action.
Police said that it is believed at least four people were involved in her rape and torture. We have also detained a few persons.
RC Mishra, an additional director general of police, has provoked anger with a comment about the rape-murders that is being seen as insensitive.
Two of the girl's neighbor, 28-year-old Pradeep Kumar and 22-year-old Sagar have been arrested after police carried investigation.
The brutal rape of the six-year-old, and the recent savage incidents, were a stark reminder of the 16 December 2012 incident, in which a physiotherapy intern was raped by a group of a men in a moving bus and a rod was inserted into her body.
