The book is full of jarring allegations, including but not limited to these: Trump had no interest in winning the election; almost everyone around him thought he was unfit to serve as president; and close advisor Steve Bannon once characterized Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a group of Russians in Trump Tower as "treasonous". Yep, you read that right. Wolff and veteran BBC executive Michael Jackson will be executive producers.
Instead, the book described White House aides and officials as anxious about Trump's work and his abilities to be commander in chief.
The expose about Trump's first year in office made waves earlier this month, with the president himself decrying the book as "phony" and "full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don't exist".
A television adaptation of Michael Wolff's novel Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House has been announced. The president has bashed Fire and Fury as a "Fake Book, written by a totally discredited author, and a lawyer for the president tried unsuccessfully to block the book from publication".
On the cancellation of Mr Trump's visit to the UK, the author said: I think the deeper reason is that he felt he would come to the United Kingdom and he would not receive the love he believes he deserves. Endeavor Content was formed in October of 2017 by William Morris Endeavor and IMG. According to THR, Endeavor Content has purchased film and TV rights for the book.
"Fire and Fury" contains serious accusations by Bannon against Donald Trump Jr, son of the US President, and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law, in which he considers of treason and an antipatriotic act the encounter that presumably both organized with Russian officials in 2016.
