On September 17, two months before she was reported missing, Martinez announced on Instagram she was giving up her mobile and social media for the next several weeks, adding: "If you need to contact me, well ... tough luck!"
But late last week, news broke that the season 22 contestant had been mistakenly listed as a missing person in California - which has led to some interesting theories from viewers, including Kelly Ripa. That is, until the North Coast Journal Facebook page posted a story about missing people in Humboldt County, California, and fans recognized Bekah M.in one of the pictures.
Californian woman Rebekah Martinez (in main photo) is now one of the favourites on the USA version of the show and it come as good news to her family after they reported her missing in mid-November. Among the missing people was a young woman named Rebekah Martinez who had been reported missing in November of 2017. "A deputy was not able to make direct contact with Martinez and she was not removed from the Missing and Unidentified Persons System". She let them know that it doesn't seem Bekah is missing, at least not on TV.
Rebekah Martinez, 22, has been competing on Season 22 of the popular series since January 1.
The deputy who took Martinez's missing persons report confirmed that she had been located. One of the season's most dramatic moments occurred when she dined privately with the bachelor himself, former race vehicle driver Arie Luyendyk Jr., and revealed her true age, 22 to Luyendyk's 36, according to the Washington Post recap. She has been live-tweeting the Bachelor season every week, after all. "Her mother hadn't heard from her since November 12, 2017". With Kelly and Ryan, Luyendyk appeared as one of the special guests and the hosts brought up that Martinez was recently thought to be missing by her mother.
The sheriff's office said the attempted to contact Martinez, but she did not respond.
Martinez then jokingly posted on her Twitter account to remind her mom that there was no cell service while filming the show.
