Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 has been launched in India, featuring a 55-inch 4K display, HDR and Dolby Atmos support. It is based on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, but just comes with more base RAM (3GB) and 32GB of storage. Colour options are Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold. Xiaomi is hoping to repeat the magic with the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, and in the process cement its position as a market leader in the highly competitive Indian smartphone market.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a vertical dual camera setup on the rear (with 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors.) The dual cameras on Redmi Note 5 Pro work together in order to create a depth-of-field effect by blurring out the background and focusing on the subject.
As seen here, this is apparently the first live photo of the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
Another more interesting thing here is that the Redmi Note 5 Pro variant will also get an additional 6GB RAM option, but the storage remains the same at 64GB, which is more than enough for this price segment. Both the new smartphones will be exclusively available via Flipkart in the country, apart from Mi.com and the Mi Home retail stores. It comes in two variants - 3GB/32 GB and 4GB/64 GB - in terms of storage space.
Xiaomi follows up the Redmi Note 4, known as India's best-selling phone in 2017.
The Redmi Note 5 is an upgraded version to the Redmi Note 4 but going by its specifications, it may well be the Redmi Note Plus wearing a new dress for the Indian market. Like the name suggests, the Note 5 Pro is a superior version of the standard Note 5 - and indeed it is. The phone would be shipped with Android 7.0 Nougat Operating System. As mentioned earlier, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 636 processor along with Adreno 509 GPU. Xiaomi claims that the front camera also has the low light selfies mode featuring IMX376 sensor. It houses a 12MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF). On the flipside, both devices retain a 3.5mm audio jack and microSD card slots. It is powered by a 4000mAh battery that's rated to deliver up to 14 hours of continuous video playback, with 5V/2A fast charging.
