"After forming the government in Tripura, the BJP will set up special economic zones (SEZs) for different sectors like food processing, bamboo, IT textiles", Jaitley said.
"Seeing the atmosphere and campaigns after visiting various constituencies, I can rest assured that the BJP would form the next government in Tripura and it would be the 20th BJP-ruled state", Shah said. "Twenty five years ago, the number of unemployed was 25,000, and after 25 years of rule by the CPI-M government, the number has risen to seven lakh", the BJP president said.

Attacking the Manik Sarkar-led Left government, he said: "Following their party ideology and unrealistic approach, the Left government in Tripura kept the investment away from the industry starved states".
Mr. Shah said that BJP is sure to win in the State and added that there is too much anger among people against the "mis-governance and failures" of Left-front government. He claimed his party would win the February 18 poll defeating all counteracts and violent means adopted by the Left.
