If you haven't noticed by now, the recent redesign launched for Snapchat hasn't gone over very well. This is a notable reversal of the typical pattern we've seen of Instagram cloning Snapchat features, but it's a good one for users since GIF stickers for Stories are basically the greatest thing ever invented on social media. Snapchat's advice to these critics: Just keep using it, and it may get better over time.
Along with rolling out the GIF feature, Snapchat announced plans to add new tabs in the Friends and Discover screens. Snapchat has published a response to this petition, saying that it "understands" that the new update "has felt uncomfortable for many".
But the response wasn't almost good enough for some of the 1.2 million angry users who just want Snap kill the redesign altogether.
Search for a snap or pick one from the GIPHY collection to see all the animated GIFs in one place.
How annoyed are you with Snapchat for its redesign?
"Users will learn to live with it and acceptable the millennial status quo. For some, that may feel like an easy switch to make", Mr. Navarra told Sputnik.
But Miss Fox said she did not believe that was the real reason. This new feature is pretty much awesome as your stickers are no longer in static form but they provide video format. "It's a mixture of reality stars' mind-numbingly boring stories and advertisements for other apps", Miss Fox told Sputnik. "How about you quit telling us what you think we'll like and change it back to the way you know we all like", wrote another.
Tuesday's selling may also be related to CEO Evan Spiegel selling $50 million worth of shares, or about 1% of his holdings, last week.
The redesign is the latest in a stream of bad public relations moves by the California-based company.
