At the Oscars, which took place on Sunday in Los Angeles, California, the cameras caught Garner clapping after Common and Andra Day performed "Stand Up for Something".
So what exactly had Garner so lost in thought?
Jennifer posted the viral clip of her a second time, with a voice-over vamping: 'Hey, Jimmy Kimmel, what's in your wallet? "Maybe I should date a fish?" she said, referring to the Guillermo del Toro-directed best picture victor.
Jennifer Garner rose to fame in the American TV series Alias back in 2002 and still continues to wow us on the red carpet today.
During Jennifer's third stab at adding voice-over to the same clip, she said: 'Can't wait to work with Lena Dunham - wait, did I sign a nudity waiver?'
Garner also earned comparisons to USA basketball player Alonzo Mourning, who was captured court-side at a game in the mid-2000s appearing to come to some sort of conclusion, sparking hundreds of hilarious memes.
Garner was applauding with the rest of the audience, including seat neighbor Chris Messina, when her hands noticeably stopped and her facial expression transitioned from stoic to bewildered.
Garner attended the Oscars as a presenter, where she introduced Eddie Vedder's performance. "Wait, where is my wallet?"
The amusing responses on Finger's Twitter account alone have garnered nearly 5,000 likes.
