Huawei just launched the P20 series phones and the smartphone fans are most interested in the more powerful P20 Pro that we covered a few moments ago. Huawei made an interesting choice to go with an IPS display rather than the incresingly popular OLED, so the colour range isn't anywhere near, say, the Moto Z2, but it's bright enough to be visible against direct sunlight. We've sorted through everything on offer in the United Kingdom, to bring you the best P20 deals around.
The company said the P20 Pro uses AI to identify objects and scenes in the camera's view and adjust its settings accordingly.
With an RRP of £599, it's also found a very attractive price point.
In terms of optics, the Enjoy 8 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
This limited-edition model is slightly taller and wider than the regular P20, but shorter and narrower than the P20 Pro.
We've also seen contracts with no upfront cost from £38 per month, while our pick for the best contract right now comes from EE through Carphone Warehouse, giving you 8GB of data for £38 per month, with only £29.99 to pay upfront.
Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro sport a Full Vision 18:9 display with ultra thin bezels. As pointed out before, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro both have the Kirin 970 processor with a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) on them. Out of the three cameras, one is a 40-megapixel RGB (color) sensor of aperture f/1.8, the other is a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor with aperture f/1.6 and the third is an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with aperture f/2.4 which offers 3X optical zoom functionality along with adding DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos.
The dimensions of the phone measure 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8mm and it weighs 155 grams. Also the 8MP sensor has OIS, which is missing on the other two lenses. This combination enables 5x lossless hybrid zoom and 10x digital zoom on P20 Pro. The Pro model packs a large 4,000mAh battery while the P20 houses a 3,400mAh battery. The company claims the sensor can capture low light photos with up to ISO 102400.
Prices of both the handset in India are not yet confirmed by the company.
So far, perhaps the only yardstick where the P20 falls short of its rivals - the Samsung Galaxy S9 in particular - is in its slow motion feature.
Both, the smartphones have 24.8-megapixel camera sensor in the front for selfies.
