"You know like Ursula and John are great board members, I didn't like how it happened but instead of like focusing on how it happened, and the fact is that Travis has the right to, governmental right to bring on those two board members, instead of focusing on that, well they're actually two great board members".
Khosrowshahi said Uber was on track for an IPO in the second half of 2019, and that the company is in a "good position" with regards to its finances, its balance sheet and its company profile.
Khosrowshahi also added that he'd "welcome Waymo to put cars in our network" and that the company was an "incredible technology provider".
In recent months, Uber has been working to find its footing after controversies over its culture and the fatal crash of one of its self-driving cars in March.
The firm also has to prove that its self-driving auto program is secure.
However, he said that any company that wants to lead the autonomous driving sector will need to partner with Uber because of its vast installed base on smartphones.
A woman in Tempe, Arizona was hit and killed by an Uber self-driving vehicle in March.
The lawsuit followed the career change of one of Waymo's former engineers, who later became chief of Uber's own self-driving vehicle project and reportedly took with him thousands of confidential documents. Uber gave Waymo an equity stake in Uber.
