Paris had performed a day after undergoing surgery to drain an abscess. She pointed out that if an abscess pops, "you can go septic and die, but I didn't die". The 20-year-old fashion model said on her Instagram Saturday, "I had surgery yesterday". "They operated immediately." She also revealed that she declined anesthesia and "was awake for all of it. ..."
Despite the agony, Paris pushed through the pain and was on stage with her band the next day to perform at Canyon Sessions, a fundraiser for the organisation F-Cancer, in front of supporters including her grandmother Katherine Jackson. "And I'm so relieved that she didn't hate it", in reference to her grandmother, who actually showed up for the concert. And that means a lot, considering her body is covered in tattoos. The US National Library of Medicine describes an abscess as a "pocket of puss" that can rear its ugly head almost anywhere on the human body.
The 20-year-old star - the daughter of the late Michael Jackson - took to the stage with her band, The Soundflowers, at the Canyon Sessions cancer fundraiser in Los Angeles on Saturday but she has admitted she may have sounded weird because she had an emergency operation the day before to get rid of the potentially unsafe growth. "I love you so much grandma. i'm so happy we got to play for you and to play for such an incredible cause (sic)". She later told fans she should not have even left bed Saturday!
