Eric Cantona has called for Manchester United to start playing "creative football" again, dissatisfied with their current style of play under José Mourinho.
The former Real boss is said to have a burning ambition to manage in the Premier League and he would relish the chance of managing the Manchester club.
Neves is one of the best young players in the Premier League, and the Portugal global midfielder's performances for Wolves so far this season have been very encouraging.
"I like Mourinho. He has a good personality but not for United - they should have [Pep] Guardiola as coach", Cantona said in an exclusive interview with the Mail on Sunday.
Zidane won three Champions League titles for Los Blancos in the space of two and a half seasons before quitting his position at the end of last term, and has been favourite to take United to the next level.
He is the spiritual child of Johan Cruyff; he played under Cruyff at Barcelona and learned everything from him.
"Well, except for me", he added. They know where I am.
"It wouldn't have happened 20 years ago, because players were there just to play football and we knew where we stood".
But the way they play?
Mourinho seems to be the source of many problems at Old Trafford, and even if the club are able to string together a series of wins over the next few weeks and months, it seems as if he's still going to be at risk of either leaving or being sacked from the club.
"It would be great for the fans, like it was with Alex Ferguson - he allowed players to be creative, treated them as individuals. A good man, a good leader".
