According to San Francisco based Edison Trends, online sales for Nike are up a whopping 31 percent in the period from Labor Day Sunday through Tuesday, compared to 17 percent increase in the same period a year ago.
The ad was met with outrage from many who didn't agree with Kaepernick kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality.
Tiger Woods says that the Nike commercial narrated by National Football League quarterback Colin Kaepernick was "something that's special" but added he did not know the company was producing the advert. The surge was better than the 17 percent increase recorded past year during the same period, the report stated.
"There was speculation that the Nike/Kaepernick campaign would lead to a drop in sales but the data does not support that theory", the company said in a statement.
In an interview with Fox News on Thursday, Trump said "I don't like what Nike did".
"I wonder if they had any idea that it would be this way?"
During the interview, Falwell told USA Today he didn't know the exact terms of the deal with Nike and what would justify termination.
"College of the Ozarks has stated its views regarding patriotism, the American flag, and the national anthem", the statement said, noting that in October It "revised its contracts for competition in all sports, adding a stipulation that all participating players and coaches show respect for the American flag and national anthem".
It is scheduled to air during the NFL's season opener between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, and celebrates Kaepernick and other athletes.
Political analysts have predicted that Trump will seek to keep the anthem issue alive as he attempts to energize his base ahead of crucial mid-term elections in November.
