The iPhone XR certainly isn't the most exciting handset Apple launched this fall, but thanks to its more affordable price tag and gorgeous color options, it will nearly certainly prove to be a big hit among a large number of Apple fans.
The third iPhone that Apple introduced at the Xs and Xs Max event is the colorful iPhone Xr.
This brings down the effective starting price to Rs 73,055. In comparison, the iPhone XS starts at $999 United States dollars and the iPhone XS Max starts at $1,099 USD. The phone is available in six quirky colors including Red, Orange, White, Black, Yellow, and Blue.
The premium smartphone hits retail stores on October 26 in over 50 major markets, including India. The iPhone XR will support gestures as Apple has bid adieu to the home button for its entire line-up for the first time.
It will, however, come in a 128GB model - along with 64GB and 256GB options - which is said is the ideal storage option for a smartphone. I especially appreciated getting a good view of the colors of each aluminum band that wraps the phone; I'm a big fan of the Coral option for the glass back, but that color's aluminum band is more orange than I'd prefer, which is good to know. The 5.8-inch iPhone XS and 6.5-inch XS Max uses OLED panels. It also trades a dual-lens camera setup for a single-lens rear-camera.
Apple made the iPhone XR available for preorder starting at 12:01 a.m.
The iPhone XR has the most colour accurate display in the industry which gives the user true to life images.
